Fish Creek Market Re-opens

 The sandwich ladies return ! Mike and Jeane Hyde (and daughter Alison) will re-open the doors to the Fish Creek Market Friday April 24th at 9 am. Their annual March/April respite has come to an end, shelves are being stocked as you read this, and the deli will be open to satisfy sandwich cravings!

The 2nd Door County Half Marathon and Nicolet Bay 5K returns to Peninsula State Park Saturday, kicking off a year of celebration for the park’s 100th birthdayThe course winds its way thru the beautiful Peninsula State Park, its a  closed course, and it’s smaller race  under 2,500 runners.  We know it’s not going to be overcrowded and we don’t have to worry about cars and traffic.

The Door Community Auditorium is located just a mile away. They are busy planning  their 2009 season.  Here are some of the highlights. Why not plan a visit to Door County to see on of the shows and stay right here at Parkwood Lodge.  
Eli Mattson kicks off the lineup with two shows, May 1-2. Carrie Rodriquez starts the summer slate June 12, followed by the Milwaukee Mandolin Orchestra June 20, and Lorie Line June 27.
Tickets go on sale to Auditorium Society members April 27 at 10 am, and to the general public May 11. Among other headliners coming to Fish Creek are Suzanne Vega Aur. 28, Paula Poundstone Sept. 5,  Nanci Grifith Oct. 2, and Kurt Neumann and Sammy Llanas of the BoDeans Oct. 17.
